HOLLYWOOD will come to Times Territory for the second time in a month with scenes from the new blockbuster to be shot in Hatfield today (Thursday).
Camera crews for the new Jack Ryan film are hot on the heels of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost who were in WGC filming for the final instalment of their Cornetto trilogy - The Worlds End.
It is not known if any stars will be in attendance when High View and Northdown Road are effectively closed for filming today - but the espionage thriller stars Keira Knightley and Chris Pine, who played James T Kirk in 2009’s Star Trek reboot.
A spokesman for Welwyn Hatfield Borough council said: “The borough council, along with other local agencies, has been assisting a production company with some logistical details, including parking, in preparation for a short film shoot taking place in Hatfield.”
The movie is thought to follow Jack Ryan on a ‘whirlwind adventure’ which sees him travel overseas to Moscow where he is framed for a terrorist plot against the United States.
It is based on a series of books by American author Tom Clancy who wrote The Hunt for Red October and The Sum of All Fears which both received the big screen treatment.
Production company Primex declined to comment on the filming.
