Potters Bar's Safer Neighbourhood Team has a new police officer in charge.
Inspector Pete Edwards has been appointed the new neighbourhood Inspector for Potters Bar and Shenley, along with two other Hertsmere teams.
He has three sergeants, 14 police officers and 24 PCSOs reporting to him, who deal with neighbourhood issues affecting residents’ quality of life.
“I’m really excited to be joining the Hertsmere team and taking up this challenging, but rewarding role,” said Inspector Edwards.
He said one of his main priorities was antisocial parking in Potters Bar during school drop-off and pick-up times.
Mr Edwards is married, has 18-year-old twin boys who just started university, and has been in the police for 22 years.
He is currently studying a masters degree in policing, and is a keen rugby fan.
