A charity that supports families across Hertfordshire has relocated, but is still firmly anchored in Hatfield.

Both Welwyn Hatfield mayor Les Page and Hatfield mayor Howard Morgan attended the opening of a new county base for Family Lives, previously located in Culpitt House, Town Centre, in The Broadway, Old Hatfield on Wednesday.

Councillor Page said: “Family Lives has been supporting families nationally and in Hertfordshire for over 30 years, bringing volunteer opportunities and jobs into the area whilst providing a most important support service to families, particularly the most vulnerable.”

Regional manager Sandra Hiller said: “Although our services have a national spread, it is important that we still retain our roots within the Hatfield and Welwyn community.”
