Hatfield community groups and businesses can now hire a space for free at a new community hub.

Formally known as The Hub, the newly-named Hatfield Community Hub is in White Lion Square and is suitable for up to 25 people, but the layout can be used to for a variety of functions.

Facilities including Wi-Fi, screens and electricity are all for free – along with renting itself.

Borough councillor Bernard Sarson, executive member for business, partnerships and public health, said: “Previously, the space wasn’t getting used to its full potential, so we decided to put it to better use and make the room available for hire.

“It’s perfect for local people’s business needs, including conferences, meetings and office space.

“With free facilities on site too, there’s no need to travel far if you’re looking for space to hire.”

There is also space for free promotion of local activities and events at the venue.
