A conservatory costing more than £10,000 will be built at a village hall to “hide its ugly entrance”, it was agreed last week.

Lemsford Hall, in Brocket Road, will have a brick, glass and white panelled extension added on to the front of it.

Members of Hatfield Town Council agreed to spend £10,400 on the venture at a meeting of the Leisure Committee on Wednesday.

The town council is responsible for the upkeep of the hall in Lemsford.
