The latest baker to be sent home from the Great British Bake Off has been revealed.

The theme for this week's episode was "free from" bakes with the contestants tasked to created something gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan while making sure their bakes were still full of flavour.

After the three challenges, the judges decided who would be named the Star Baker and who would be heading home.

Here is who was sent home from the Great British Bake Off this week.

Gary, 67, was eliminated after failing to impress the judges with his "free from" bakes.

He said: "It’s all right, don’t worry, no worries.

"I am really, really proud, yeah, I just didn’t expect to get this far.

"My main aim was to get to week three, and now it’s my turn to go."

Gary, who was born and raised in Chesterfield and now lives in Nottinghamshire with his wife Donna, discovered his love of baking just five years ago after buying his first cookbook in a gift shop.

Judge Paul Hollywood joked with Gary about their similar fashion choices.

He said: "I will miss my doppelganger.

"You can’t carry on wearing the same colour shirts as me every week."

In an interview after his exit, Gary admitted that "free from" week was his least favourite part of the competition.
