A national food store chain is about to create jobs in Hatfield by opening a shop in two units at the railway station.
The Simply Fresh chain describes itself as “an upmarket grocery store concept focusing on local and best of British products anchored by an organic healthy range of food”.
The Old Hatfield Residents’ Association has been campaigning for the empty station units to be let out to help revitalise the area’s economy.
Jobcentre Plus has tweeted that full and part-time jobs will be available, but applicants should apply to the firm directly.
The chain has 21 stores nationwide, with the nearest branches in London, Kingston upon Thames, and Milton Keynes.
