A court heard how a wealthy businessman screamed “like something out of a horror movie” as a Potters Bar murder case opened in London.
Reclusive property owner, Milton Papadopoulos, 41, was handcuffed, smothered to death and left lying naked in his living room in Potters Bar, Herts, it is claimed.
The court was told yesterday (Tuesday) that he was murdered in his own home for a £20,000 Rolex watch.
When he was found dead by his sister two days later, his Parkfield View house – which contained “the trappings of some wealth” – was in a state of disarray, jurors were told.
It is claimed he was held prisoner, robbed of his white gold Rolex Submariner and murdered by Sebastian Oskar Kimel, 40, Krzysztof Kasza, 42, and Arkadiusz Szarkowski, 42.
Prosecutor Mark Fenhalls told the Old Bailey: “You may think Mr Papadopoulos may have been the perfect target.
“He was a man who was living on his own, he was wealthy and he was exactly the kind of person who was vulnerable.”
