SOME might say that being a mum is a full-time job.

But for women who have more strings to their bow, a new club has opened in Hatfield with the aim of helping ‘mumpreneurs’ succeed in business.

Mums’ Business Club, in Hatfield, was launched in July and is run by Arpana Valji.

The club is part of www.mumsclub.co.uk, which was started in 2003 and has been set up in several counties, with 16 across the UK.

The Hatfield branch has been backed by The Hertfordshire Enterprise Academy, based at BioPark in Broadwater Road, Welwyn Garden City.

Arpana told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “We meet once a month between 10am and noon, which is ideal for mums as it’s usually between school runs.

“If they have young children, they are more than welcome to bring them though.

“We have networking and introductions, followed by a speaker who usually talks on a pertinent topic such as accountancy, motivation, marketing, sales, law etc.”

She added: “It [the club] has been doing extremely well and we hope to achieve a regular number of women to build our network.”

For more information or to book a place at the next event on Wednesday, September 7, call Arpana on 07740 346294 or email hatfield@mumsbusinessclub.com
