Cancer Research UK has invited mothers and daughters to celebrate Mother's Day by signing up for Race for Life.
The race is being held at Stanborough Park on Sunday, June 5.
Mothers and daughters can choose to walk, run, jog and charge around the Race for Life course, which is Cancer Research UK’s women-only series of 5km, 10km and Pretty Muddy events.
The Race for Life raises millions of pounds every year to help fund life-saving research.
One in two people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives, so participants will be helping more people to survive as well as getting to spend more time with their loved ones.
Courtney Culverhouse, Race for Life event manager for Hertfordshire, said: “Mother’s Day is the special occasion when we acknowledge that universal truth - it’s mums who make the world go round!
“We all know how determined mothers can be when they really make up their minds to do something. And we want to channel that power and energy into a unique force that will help conquer cancer sooner.
“That’s why we need mums and daughters to join together and enter Race for Life today.”
