Dignitaries and residents gathered for a ceremony in Parkway, Welwyn Garden City, to remember the Holocaust today.

Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Pat Mabbott said: “The ceremony was a very moving occasion that brought people together to commemorate the devastating loss of life in the Holocaust and other genocides in world history that should never be forgotten.”

Also in attendance were the Rev Canon Carl Garner, Lord Salisbury’s chaplain at Hatfield House, Reynold Rosenberg, chairman of the Welwyn Garden City United Synagogue (WGC US) and Tony Wilder, also a member of WGC United Synagogue.
