THREE people have been hospitalised following a car crash on the A414 this morning (Friday).

Two people were trapped and another person was ejected from their car, in a head on collision between two cars at around 7.40am.

One man has been airlifted to a hospital in London by the Hertfordshire Air Ambulance, while a man and a woman were talken by land ambulance to the QE2 Hospital in WGC.

The A414 between Cole Green and Hertingfordbury is currently closed in both directions, with traffic being diverted away from the scene.

A police spokeswoman said delays are expected.
