A TRAPPED man had to be cut out of his car after it was in collision with a coach.

The 42-year-old man needed a fire crew to cut his door off to release him after his Peugeot collided with the coach on Grubbs Lane, Bell Bar.

The accident resulted in the road being cordoned off just after 3pm today (Thursday).

Gary Sanderson, spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, said: "The man was trapped by his driver's door which required removing by the fire service.

"This allowed the paramedic crew much more space to treat him and place him on a spinal board.

"He sustained minor injuries and was taken to the QE2 Hospital in WGC."

The man was from Cheshunt.

Details about the coach are not yet known.
