A MAN was taken to hospital this morning after his car left the road and hit a tree
Fire crews from Hatfield and Potters Bar and paramedics were called to Woodfield Lane, between Wildhill and Newgate Street Village, at 7.30am today (Monday).
Steve Duncan, a watch manager at Hatfield fire station, said they believed the car skidded off the road due to ice.
The motorist was trapped in his car, a Renault, and had to be cut out.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “The car went approximately eight metres into woodland before hitting a tree.
“The man, who is 50, received minor injuries and following treatment and stabilisation by paramedics, he was taken to Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield.”
