Motorist taken to hospital after taxi collision in Welwyn Garden City

AN early hours collision between a taxi and a car saw a 25-year-old man taken to hospital with “serious injuries”.
The accident involved a blue Vauxhall Zafira taxi and a white Ford Escort.
It happened on a mini roundabout connecting Ridgeway and Heronswood Road in WGC at 2.35am, on Saturday.
A police spokeswoman said the road was closed after being blocked.
She added the driver of the Ford, a man from WGC, had been taken to the QE2 Hospital with “serious, but not life threatening injuries”.
