A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital this morning (Tuesday) after his car lost control on an icy road and flipped onto its side.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to Coopers Green Lane in WGC at around 5.30am, after a red Volkswagen car crashed into an embankment, landing on its side and trapping the driver.
Fire crews from WGC and Hatfield used cutting equipment to free the man, described as being in his mid to late 30s.
He was taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage with minor injuries.
