A motorcyclist was injured near Hatfield


A motorcyclist, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to hospital after he was involved in a collision near Hatfield.

An ambulance spokesman said: “We received a call yesterday at 5.22pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist on the A1000 near Hatfield.

“An ambulance crew was sent to assist and treated a man, believed to be in his 20s, for a hip injury before taking him to Queen Elizabeth II Hospital for further care in what is thought to be a stable condition.”

A police spokesman said officers were called to Great North Road at 5.25pm following a collision involving a motorcycle and red Seat Ibiza.

The road was blocked and the incident was dealt with by 6.49pm.
