A motorcycle rider fell from his bike after narrowly avoiding a crash in Hatfield this morning.

Police were called at 8.05am to reports a man had fallen from his red Honda motorcycle on Comet Way.

The man had to suddenly brake to avoid colliding with a dark-coloured Volkswagen and, as a result, fell.

The rider suffered minor injury. Police and an ambulance attended the scene.

It is understood the incident occurred on the major roundabout between The Airfield pub and Porsche Centre.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 130 on February 28.
