A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital with serious injuries this morning (Wednesday) after a crash on the M25 that has left motorists facing long delays.

The accident happened at 6.30am on the anticlockwise carriageway between junction 24, for Potters Bar, and junction 23, for South Mimms, when a motorcycle collided with a van.

The motorway was closed while the biker, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to Barnet General Hospital with serious injuries.

The road is expected to remain shut between junctions 23 and 25 until 10am – causing traffic misery for thousands of commuters.
