A MOTORCYCLIST was killed in a collision with a car on the A414 yesterday (Sunday).
Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash which occurred at around 9.28am, on the westbound carriageway of the A414 between the junction of the A1M and the London Colney roundabout.
A police spokesman said: “Sadly the motorcyclist, a man, died at the scene of the collision. “The driver of the car, a woman, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the QE2 hospital, where she remains at this time.”
The road was closed for around three hours between the Hatfield junction of the A1M and London Colney roundabout, it reopened at around 12.30pm.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to come forward by calling PC Matt Hollingsworth on 0845 33 00 222.
