MOTORISTS are being told to find an alternative route home, following a motorcycle crash in Hatfield.

The accident happened just after 5pm today (Tuesday) when a motorcyclist riding a red Honda bike apparently collided with a central island in Roehyde Way, outside the Hatfield Oak Hotel.

The male motorcyclist is believed to be “breathing and conscious” according to a police spokeswoman, but is currently receiving treatment from paramedics on the scene.

The spokeswoman added that Roehyde Way is currently blocked in both directions while police and ambulance crews deal with the man and recover the vehicle.
