The event, held at Stanborough Park, Welwyn Garden City, featured a variety of motors ranging from vintage to new models.

The day was arranged to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to seriously and terminally ill children.

Lisa Castle, who organised it with her husband Neil, said: “The show was an outstanding success.

“I think it was down to the fact that there hasn’t been a show locally of this kind in quite a while and the fact that it was for charity really did bring out the best in everyone.”

There were lots of other activities for people to enjoy such as a bouncy castle for the youngsters.

A raffle included prizes from organisations including Gosling Sports Park, in Welwyn Garden City, and The Entertainer toy store, in the Howard Centre.

Lisa added: “Everybody is asking us when the next one will be. To which I can say we are already trying to confirm a date.”

The event was held last Sunday, May 19.
