A young boy’s bike was stolen in a Hatfield – leaving his mum furious at the “disgraceful” thieves.

It was snatched in St Audreys Close, sometime between 10pm on Wednesday and 7.30pm on Thursday this week.

His mum said: “He was out on it everyday and rode it to school.

“It was a birthday present and cost quite a bit.

“It’s disgraceful that horrible people don’t seem to care about the effects of their so-called non-violent crime.

“Response from the local community has been great and the post has been shared all over.”

Anyone with information can contact police via the non-emergency number 101.
