A PIONEERING school has once again been recognised for its environmental awareness, this time by the property industry.
Howe Dell Primary School, in The Runway, Hatfield, was highly commended for sustainability at the 2009 Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) East of England Awards.
The RICS awards are considered the Oscars of the property industry, and the commendation is the latest honour bestowed on Howe Dell since it moved to its new, eco-friendly building in 2007.
The school was also this week nominated for new sustainable school of the year at the 2009 Teaching Awards, to be held in June.
