MORE big names for the Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth House are due to be revealed tomorrow morning (Wednesday).

Metal gods Metallica and nu-metal favourites Linkin Park are already confirmed headliners of the groundbreaking touring rock extravaganza that will travel throughout Europe and finish at Knebworth on August 1-2.

Organisers announced earlier this week the second wave of confirmed artists - with even bigger news to follow.

A press release said: "Sonisphere is already massive, but the best is yet to come.

"The first nine bands are in place, further announcement in the coming weeks will include some very special guests."

Confirmed on Monday were Alice in Chains and Avenged Sevenfold for their only UK shows of the year.

Irish legends Thin Lizzy are now also playing the two-day camping festival at the Hertfordshire stately home.

Californian metal titans Machine Head were another added to the bill on Monday for their lone UK festival appearance of the summer.

Among those rumoured to be playing Knebworth are American industrial rockers Nine Inch Nails.
