PARENTS’ little terrors will be entertained over the school holidays with a shopping centre’s monster club.

Every Wednesday from 11am-4pm WGC’s Howard Centre will host a different set of fun free activities.

Peter Brooks, centre manager, said: “It’s not always easy to fill the long summer holidays with things to entertain the children so we hope our free kids club helps make planning that bit easier.

“We’ve got lots of different activities going on and we’re particularly excited about seeing the monster creepy crawlies.”

The fun stars on Wednesday with youngsters invited to take part in the Monster Parade.

They will make and decorate their own masks before heading off on a treasure hunt to find a hidden ghoul. There will also be a colouring competition to draw up the most imaginative monster for the chance to win goodies from The Entertainer.

Next week children will be able to make monster-themed cookies and cupcakes in a sweet-treat workshop.

On August 21 creepy crawlies and other interesting animals will be on show for children to see, hold and learn all about.

The grand finale of the monster summer sees Katsuma from the Moshi Monsters visiting the Howard Centre on August 28.

There will be five opportunities for families to see Katsuma as he makes personal appearances at 11am, noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
