Residents of a Potters Bar care home were dazzled while watching a fashion show from the comfort of their armchairs..
Staff from Cuffley Manor Care Home decided to host the show after there was a flurry of catwalks internationally recently for Fashion Week.
Shani Riley, community development manager for Cuffley Manor, worked with Amanda Taylor, manager from Bon Marche, to bring style into the home.
Shani said: “Whatever age you are, it’s always good to wear something new and fresh.
“We always strive to bring whatever is happening in the world to our residents and their local community.”
One resident said: “There is always something going on here, they really do so much to keep us busy and entertained.
“The Fashion Show was lovely and I have bought a new dress, a jacket, and a little something for my daughter for Christmas.”
Miss Hertfordshire Rachel Pitman also attended as a guest for the day to watch the show.
Carole Stuart and some of the ladies from the Over 60s Lunch Club at the Wyllyotts Centre modelled the outfits from Bon Marche. One of the models said: “I was nervous at first but the large crowd applauded us each time we sashayed in a new outfit and they were really supportive.
“In the end it was a lot of fun, and the clothes were lovely.”
