A TEENAGER had his mobile phone snatched from his hands while standing outside a fast-food restaurant in broad daylight.

The theft happened on Monday, May 2, between 4.40pm and 4.45pm outside McDonald’s in Howardsgate, WGC.

A teenage boy was approached by a man who demanded he hand over his Blackberry, which he was holding in his hands.

The boy said no, but the man snatched it from his grasp and ran off.

The suspect is described as white, aged between 25 to 30, with short hair and a heavy build. He was wearing grey joggers and a navy blue T-shirt with red stitching.

PC Joe Clapham, investigating, said: “This incident happened in broad daylight when the town centre would have been busy with people.

“I would like to encourage anyone who was in this area at the time and may have seen the offence or anything connected with it to get in touch.”
