AN elderly Alzheimer’s sufferer who went missing in Welwyn Garden City earlier today (Friday) has been found safe and well.

The alarm had been raised by 84-year-old Kenneth Crow’s family after he disappeared at around 11am in Lodge Field.

The police helicopter was scrambled and was flying around the area issuing what is known as a “skyshout” – where officers in the sky used a loud hailer to broadcast information.

Richard Davidson tweeted the Welwyn Hatfield Times around quarter-of-an-hour ago to say: “Missing man found. We saw him walking between Mill Green and WGC. Contacted Police and they said they just got him.”

A spokeswoman for Hertfordshire Constabulary has confirmed Kenneth has been found.
