Residents are being encouraged to slip on their vintage prom dress or teddy boy suit for the return of Mill Green’s Classic Car and Vintage Day.

The event will have retail stalls selling dresses, home furnishings and bespoke upcycled furniture, while the Home Guard will be set up, and the Mill Green loaf will also be on sale.

There will also be live music from Lianna Haynes and JiveSwing to entertain attendees.

Councillor Terry Mitchinson said: “The Classic Car and Vintage Day at Mill Green is the perfect day out for the whole family, and a great way to escape the World Cup final for those who fancy something different.

“Make sure you bring your dancing shoes as you will be invited to learn a few moves with JiveSwing, and new for this year is the chance for visitors to have a vintage hair makeover.”

It will run from 12pm to 5pm on Sunday, July 15. Entry is £5 for adults and free for children.
