Mill Green Museum and Mill has been shortlisted for the ‘hidden gem’ category of the Herts Tourism Awards 2017.
The awards, held annually, celebrate exceptional standards of customer service and outstanding overall visitor experiences.
Just under 15,000 people visit Mill Green every year to attend a variety of events, exhibitions and to explore the museum.
From the Christmas market to toddler mornings and tours of the mill, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The museum is up against two other Hertfordshire tourist attractions, Standalone Farm in Letchworth and Henry Moore Studios and Gardens near Much Hadham.
Linda Dobbs, museums manager, said: “We’re so pleased to have made the shortlist for the ‘hidden gem’ award.
“The museum is something really special in our borough, and it’s always a great day out for children and adults alike.
“I know I speak on behalf of everyone at the museum and council when I say we would really appreciate your vote.”
Tony Kingsbury, executive member for policy and culture, said: “We’re really lucky to have such a unique piece of history right here in Welwyn Hatfield.
“The museum gives us all the chance to explore the past in fun and quirky ways through a packed programme of exciting and varied events and exhibitions.
“We want people who enjoy visiting the museum or attending events here to please support us.
“Voting is quick and easy, and it would mean so much to be Hertfordshire’s ‘hidden gem’.”
Voting closes at 5pm on Friday 20 October.
