MORE details of Metallica's headline slot at the Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth House have emerged.
The rock giants will close the two-day camping event at the Hertfordshire stately home on Sunday, August 2.
Metallica, currently playing Britain's arenas with their World Magnetic tour, will play a full two-hour set at Sonisphere.
Nu-metal rap favourites Linkin Park top the bill the night before Metallica.
Other acts already confirmed for Knebworth include Nine Inch Nails, Thin Lizzy, Alice In Chains, Bullet For My Valentine, Mastodon, Machine Head, Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold, Killing Joke, Anthrax, The Sword and Airbourne.
Special guests and more bands will be announced soon.
Among those rumoured for Knebworth are Placebo and Primal Scream, who have already been confirmed for the Swedish leg of Sonisphere in July.
Tickets for Knebworth are �132.50 plus booking fees for weekend ticket and �157.50 plus fees for weekend camping ticket.
