A car has been seized and three men were arrested following a police chase on the A1(M), which came to an end at South Mimms.

A Herts Police spokeswoman told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “Officers attempted to stop a vehicle on the A1(M) southbound at around 11.55pm yesterday.

“The car failed to stop and was pursued.

“It entered the Welcome Break service area at South Mimms and several people decamped from the car.

“A search was carried out and three men were arrested.

“They were subsequently de-arrested.

“The vehicle, a green Ford Focus, was seized by officers.

“Enquiries are on-going.”
