A GARDEN party was held for residents at a Potters Bar shelter home in order to raise enough money for a trip out.
Hertsmere mayor Rosemary Gilligan was among the guests at Donaldson Lodge, a residential home offering sheltered accommodation to people over 55.
The party was held in order to collect enough money so that residents could go out on a trip together.
The day raised 355, and will go towards either a concert or an outing, yet to be decided.
House manager Janet Smith said: "It was a really nice afternoon. The residents helped out and all of them said they had a great day.
