The mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, councillor Patricia Mabbott, visited Sir Frederic Osborn School to hand out certificates to its new prefects.

On Friday, February 10, the mayor and consort Alan Franey joined pupils for an assembly to announce the new prefects before going on a tour of the school.

Councillor Mabbott said: “I was thrilled to be asked to present certificates to Sir Fred’s new prefects and I wish them well in their new roles.

“Walking round the school, I could tell that the students are both happy and proud to be at Sir Fred’s.

“I very much enjoyed my visit and look forward to returning to the school soon.”
