THIS addictive racing game is as fresh and inventive as it's always been. While the basic premise is the same - Mario and chums race go-karts across a series of circuits, picking up speed boosts while avoiding bombs and banana skins - a ton of new features have been added to the mix. These include the addition of motorbikes, speed-boosting stunts, an online racing mode and a special Mario Kart Wii Channel. As a single-player game, racing against 11 computer opponents, it's a riot of cartoon skids and crashes, but it really comes alive when played with friends. Its four-player split-screen mode is perfect post-pub entertainment while new online options mean you'll always be able to find someone to race.
