Man taken to hospital atter lorry overturns in Hatfield

A LORRY driver was taken to hospital after his vehicle overturned in Hatfield.

Three fire crews, police and an ambulance were called to the incident which took place at around 3.00am yesterday (Wednesday).

Police closed the road between the roundabout next to the Ramada Hotel and the following roundabout by the University of Hertfordshire in order to get the vehicle back on its wheels.

Highways officers were also called to clear a small amount of diesel and debris off the road which opened again at 6.40am.

The driver suffered minor head and neck injuries and was taken to the Lister Hospital for further treatment.
