Police are appealing for information after man in his 30s suffered a suspected fractured leg during an alleged assault in Welwyn Garden City.

A police spokeswoman said officers were called to an address in Westfield at 6.56pm yesterday (Thursday, May 31), following reports that a man had been assaulted.

She said a man in his 30s from Welwyn Garden City had suffered a suspected fractured leg and was taken to hospital.

She added: “Enquiries are on-going to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone who believes they have information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/3014/18 or report information online at https://www.herts.police.uk/Report.”
