A man was taken to hospital with burns after a lorry caught fire on the outskirts of Welwyn Garden City yesterday.
Three fire engines were called to a lay-by on the Marford Road, between Welwyn Garden City and Wheathampstead, just before 6pm.
They had extinguished the blazing lorry by 6.20pm, but a man was taken to hospital with minor burns and breathing problems.
The fire service says the cause was accidental, and the lorry was not carrying hazardous materials.
The lorry caught fire near the junction of Marford Road and Cromer Hyde Lane.
