Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a man was spotted in a Mutton Lane resident's garden.

A man quickly ran off after a Potters Bar resident caught him in their back garden.

Police received a call at 12.55pm on Tuesday, May 1, to reports of a man who was seen to enter the rear garden of a home in Mutton Lane before quickly exiting.

The incident happened just before 12.30pm.

The man is described as white, in his thirties, of a slim build and with fair, thinning hair.

Officers attended the scene and spoke to the occupant.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 336 of May 1.
