Man rushed to hospital with stab wounds

A VICIOUS attack on a 20-year-old man resulted with him being rushed to hospital with stab wounds. The alleged assault occurred just before 2.30am yesterday outside the University of Hertfordshire's College Lane campus in Hatfield

A VICIOUS attack on a 20-year-old man resulted with him being rushed to hospital with stab wounds.

The alleged assault occurred just before 2.30am yesterday outside the University of Hertfordshire’s College Lane campus in Hatfield.

Police were called following reports of a fight between a group of people near a bus stop.

The victim was taken to hospital and is in a serious but stable condition.

Detective sergeant Ken Townsend said: “We are treating this matter extremely seriously and I would urge anyone who knows anything about this alleged incident to please come forward and help us with our investigation.”

Five men aged between 18 to 20, all from North London have been arrested on suspicion of GBH- wounding with intent.

They have all been bailed.
