A cyclist was pushed off his bike in Stevenage yesterday evening..


Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was viciously attacked from behind in Welwyn Garden City.

A police spokesman said: “The incident happened at The Fairway Tavern, in Old Herns Lane, between 1am and 1.15am on Saturday, January 28.

“The victim, a man in his 40s, was by the bar entrance, opposite the car park, when he was approached from behind by an unknown offender.

“He was then punched three times to the back of the head before the offender made off in an unknown direction.

“The victim believes he may have lost consciousness for a few moments and has been left with bruising.”

The offender is described as a white male around 5ft 7in tall, wearing a white T-shirt bearing an unknown design and blue jeans.
