Police were called to an incident in Parkway on Saturday


WITNESSES to an assault outside a Welwyn Garden City nightspot have been urged to come forward.

A man in his 20s suffered serious injuries as a result of the attack, which happened shortly before 2am on Saturday morning outside Parkway Bar in Parkway.

Officers say the assault happened after a row broke out.

Det Con Sarah Meacock, from the Local Crime Unit, said: “There were witnesses to this incident who I don’t believe have spoken with police.

“The victim has suffered severe injuries and I would urge those people to call officers with information.”

An 18-year-old from Welham Green was arrested in connection with the incident, and released on bail.
