A man was kiiled by a train north of Hatfield Station.

A man was kiiled by a train north of Hatfield Station.


A man died after he was hit by a train to the north of Hatfield Station on Saturday morning.

The driver of the 0704 Moorgate to Welwyn Garden City service reported that someone had been hit at 7.45am.

British Transport Police and paramedics arrived, and found a man’s body.

A British Transport Police spokeswoman said: “The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

Trains were seriously disrupted, with nine full cancellations, diversions via Hertford North, and other services missing stops, but all lines were open by 9.34am.
