A DRIVER who was ill at the wheel crashed into a bus stop, which then collapsed on top of his car.
The man was hospitalised after his blue Vauxhall Corsa careered off London Road, Welwyn, on Sunday.
The East of England Ambulance Service were alerted at 1.35pm with crews from St Albans and WGC attending.
Spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Paramedics treated at the scene before conveying him to the QE2 hospital.”
He was released from hospital later that day.
