A MAN was viciously assaulted during a daylight attack.
The victim was headbutted, thrown to the floor and kicked in Hyde Way, WGC, at about 3.40pm on Friday.
Police are now appealing for two youngsters who may have witnessed the incident.
Pc Martin Bancroft, who is investigating the assault, said: “This was a very nasty incident where the victim received numerous injuries.
“It is believed there were two boys on bikes near to where the incident occurred.
“I would like to speak with them, as we believed they witnessed the offence, as well as any other people who may have seen what happened.”

* A 17-year-old boy from Hatfield was arrested in connection with the incident. He is currently on police bail until next month.
