QUICK-THINKING officers saved the life of a man who was hanging by his fingertips from the top of the Galleria car park.

The 13-stone man, who was dangling 100ft above the ground, let go just as Pc Dave Burstow grabbed his wrist.

A member of the public had reported seeing the man walking along the edge of the Hatfield multi-storey car park at around 7pm on Sunday.

Officers speak of those nail-biting minutes in today's (Wednesday) Welwyn & Hatfield Times, out now.
