Police are investigating an accosting in Hatfield in which a young woman was grabbed by the arm yesterday.

Between 3.15pm and 3.20pm on Tuesday, February 7, a woman, aged in her 20s, was approached by a man in Manor Road, Hatfield.

A police spokeswoman said: “He initially asked her where the shops were, he then asked her where she was from and asked her for her phone number and made kissing noises.

“The man then grabbed the victim’s right arm.

“She pulled away and ran away.”

The offender is described as an Asian man, of slim build and between 5ft 9in and 5ft 11in tall, with black hair and a short beard.

He was wearing a white T shirt, dark trousers and white trainers.
