A MAN was given an �80 fine for using threatening words and behaviour after a row between taxi firms in Hatfield.

The squabble over a new cab company plying its trade in the town happened at around 11pm on Saturday.

The 36-year-old from Luton and another man were arrested for a public order offence and criminal damage to a taxi.

Police officers attended the scene at a car park in Link Drive and took two men into custody.

One was released without charge and the other given a fixed penalty notice.
