Man fighting for his life following Hatfield crash

A pensioner has been taken to hospital in critical condition after two cars collided in Hatfield.

At 10.07am today, the ambulance service was called to reports of a road traffic collision between two cars in Tudor Close, Hatfield.

An ambulance spokeswoman said: “We dispatched an ambulance crew, rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer and air ambulance to the scene to treat a male patient believed to be in his 70s in cardiac arrest.

“The patient was transported by road to Lister Hospital in a critical condition.”
